Balanced By The Television Screen

The quality of a movie & TV image depends to a great extent on the image balance,balance can be regard as the most important point of the image design. To have a further study of the balance of the video image, the writer had researched of questions to different student's samples, and analysed many video works . Based on the study of meaning of video image balance, effecting factors, handling of dynamic movie & TV image and reconsideration, the conclusions are reached as follows: 1. the balance in movie & TV image refers to an artistic aesthetics and visual psychological conception, mostly the artistic balance; 2. A number of visual factors can effect the image balance; 3. Since "move" is the main feature of video image, handling of the image balance are different from still picture; 4. Though symmetrical balance is a bit tedious, it is still a important method of image designing; 5. hi most cases the rules of balance should be observed, but the art of imbalance shouldn't be ignored.Hope this study could be of some help to the video workers.
