Color Folk Vocabulary Study

Folkloric linguistics is the study about language and culture. While folkloric lexicology is an important content of it, and it is also the body of folklore culture. The culture of color has a long history in China, the belief of different colors is also a content of folklore. So there must be a mutual relation between the culture of folklore and the culture of color. The color folklore lexicology is the accumulation of color folklore. In the study of language much study about the color lexicology is involved, but the color folkloric lexicology is different from it, it refers the words involved color elements and have relation with the folklore. It imbodys the culture of folklore and color.The article is to discuss the cultural background of the color folkloric lexicology, and study the mutual relation of the culture of folklore and color. Especially mentioned the feature of the semantics, emphesizing the function of the color elements. As to the method of study, the article in one hand uses the ancient documents, in the other hand amasses the oral materials, and accepts the outcome of semantics. Folkloric lexicology is a new angle of lexicology study, the article trys to replenish it and wish more and more scholars can pay attention to it.
