Lu Xun, when he was alive, had lots of writing battles. Many wars of the pen, caused by his articles, were still going on even after his death. The disputes about his articles have been concerned with many aspects in literary theory and literary criticism, some of them even being beyond the limit of literature. These disputes about Lu Xun's articles have had great influence in the literary and academic field. This essay, based on not only Lu Xun himself and his articles, but also the attitudes of his articles', expresses the author's main ideas, and analyses them theoretically, without any concerns about personal ways of the world. The principal of the analysis and the argument in the essay is to be based on facts; to be enforced by logic; not to use my won personal opinion to replace the facts; not to consider myself as infallible; not to consider myself to be others' teacher; This essay can be divided into four sections: in the first section, I analyze the disputes which are caused by Lu Xun's articles and express some of my opinions about Lu Xun's articles. That is: first, in his articles we can find no wretched appearance but very strong ideological content. His articles inspire our wisdom and make our society improving. Second , his novels and essays are different from others' and display initiative. Third , the language in his articles is peculiar. Forth , his works has great value in academics. The Brief Introduction of China's Novels has great achievement. In the second section, I give my own ideas and conclusions on these disputes which were caused by Lu Xun's articles. 1 not only point out the right and wrong of different opinions but also express my own opinions. I think Lu Xun has the following five qualities for his own personality. First, he was upright and outspoken, had the quality of boldness and he could be regarded as the example of scholars'. Second, he was in pursuit of truth and independence and was neble-hearted. Third, he was indifferent to fame and wealth, worked hard for his people all his life. Forth, he was conscientious and did his best and was the example for all of us. Fifth, he was openhearted and had the realm of lofty thought. Ordinary people couldn't hold a candle to him.In the third section, 1 present you some questions and their reasons that I have found out.First, Lu Xun wrote for common people's reading and he had great hope for young people and he also talked to them. In his opinion he had a majority of readers but in fact he only had some intellectuals as his readers. Second. Lu Xun criticized the nationalism in his articles but his love and hate had great classical inclination. Third, Lu Xun sometimes hesitated about which way he should go and had the pessimistic feelings. But he never talked about pessimism and always encouraged people to bravely find out their own way. All of these facts seem to be contractions, but they are logical because Lu Xun wrote for literature and thought about the social improvement. In the forth section, 1 sum up the advantages of these disputes caused by Lu Xun's articles and bring forward my own opinion for how to dispute.I think the advantage of these disputes has four points: firstly, people can raise questions; secondly many views are reasonably reliable; thirdly some ideas are useful for reference although they are not totally convincible; fourthly disputing is the expression of freedom in talking. Freedom in talking is precious and we should value it. To the disadvantage of the disputes about Lu Xun's articles, my ideas are the following. They should be: first, to adopt convincible attitude; second, to criticize those that one is convincible by himself; to talk about what one is convincible of; third, to take others' advantages for my own reference and to avoid criticizing others' disadvantages.Maybe some of my ideas and conclusions are similar with others' or quite different from others'; anyhow they are my own, not echoing the views of others and not deliberately making myself conspicuous. In the third section.
