In modern society, the individual self-awareness highlights the individualsubjectivity and urges the researches on self value and meaning of life. The definiteanswer of "who am I" is also becoming more and more aspired. Activities ofindividual self-recognition are just the process of self answering. The process containsindividual self-evaluation, which is based on individual self-recognition. Individualself-evaluation shows proper complexity because of its particularity. At the same time, the universality of individual self-evaluation makes it become a widely-concernedsocial issue.Individual self-evaluation activity is a special form of evaluation activity. Thecomplexity of individual self-evaluation is rooted in its peculiar structure ofreflexivity. Namely subject and object are identical in the evaluation activity. Theindividual self can be divided into “I” and “Me” on the internal logic structure. Thekey to study the complexity of individual self-evaluation is to analyze “two links”evaluation standard chosen by subject and reflect the value of the selected by subjectin the individual self-evaluation combined with factors in the external world. Theambiguity and variability of subject needs, the uncertainty of subject interests, thefuzziness and spatial of object properties and the difficulty of selecting evaluationstandard are the points during the research. Virtual world which is formed in themodern society networking becomes era characteristic of the complexity of individualself-evaluation.As the social environment where an individual lives, the external world is closelylinked with the individual self-evaluation. Whether the evaluation on the externalworld by “I”, or the evaluation on “I” by the external world, the impact on individualself-evaluation must not be ignored. They may promote individual self–evaluationactivity smoothly, while may also increase the complexity of individual self-evaluation activity. As a remarkable social problem, individual self identity crisis is associated withthe plight of the individual self-evaluation, which provides realistic significance forthe study of the complexity of the individual self-evaluation. Considering thepersonality split in self identification crisis and the forms in meaningless life problems,it helps to solve them with evaluating self correctly.
