Stravinsky's Soldier's tale is an important piece of work during his transition from the Russian Period to the Neo-Classical Period. It clearly shows his mosaic technique skill which demonstrates his omnipotence on the rendering of melody, harmony, rhythm and etc.This essay thoroughly combs through the background of this music piece, along with the philosophic and aesthetic trends, and the composer's life experience at that particular time. An analysis is made on the information gathered which concluded all the compositional technique Stravinsky used in this piece of work, argued that the mosaic context is another peculiar state in the development of polyphony. Up till now, there is less studies in the academic world that discusses this issue in such a systematic depth.After stating the way mosaic technioque is used and its significance, the author observed the development of music composition in our country in the present day.
