Hui-dao men"is the combination of "huimen"and "daomen", which is one of thereligious and fetishistic secret societies born in the end of the feudal society. As thevoluntary organization of the underprivileged people, its blossom and decline can be regardas the "rain glass"of the social control and the common people′s life. According to thedevelopment of "hui-dao men", we can find that "when social control strengthen, they willbe weak; but when social control decline, they will thrive". The development of "hui-daomen"is very prosperous in the period of Anti-Japanese War.Regarding Shandong province as an example, I expound the blossom, characteristicsand performance of "hui-dao men"in the war. I also analyze the subjective and objectivereason of this phenomenon, trying to explore its source from the angle of the countryside′s social control. At the same time, I compare the region governed by Koumintang with bythe Communist Party of China in the side of the countryside political power developmentand common people′s mobilization. On the basis of the contrast, we can find that thecountryside political power should be set on the basis benefits of people, show solicitudefor people′s livelihood, and pay close attention to people′s life and feeling. Only indoing so can we enhance the countryside′s social control, stabilize the social order. As aresult, "hui-dao men", which is backward organization, lose the existent stage under thehistory background.
