| In this new historical period, specially this information age, new and higher expectations are demanded by the people in terms of news.Korean language broadcast by Central Peoples' Broadcasting Station is the sole state-leveled Korean language broadcast nationwide. It therefore plays an important role in guiding and modeling Koreans' language life since it touches upon all Koreans all around the country as well as some broadcast listeners from Japan and Russia,etc.Korean language news broadcast is mainly from Xinhua News Agency. News in Chinese from Xinhua News Agency is to be translated into Korean language and to be broadcasted at the very first moment everyday, which is a little earlier than CCTV's News Broadcast. Hence it's very popular to all Korean listeners.Therefore, it is vitally important to translate all the required materials quicker and more accurate in this regard. There are few references available currently, so to speak, it certainly endows some significance in exploring more on this subject.This paper mainly discusses those common problems in news broadcast translation mainstreaming in Chinese-Korean translation. Through contrast analysis on the differences between broadcast news style and others, it illustrates the unique broadcast news style and its character by citing some inappropriate or wrong sentences in which existed those former versions and by classifying those common problems, and presents new prospective on translation and methodology.First Chapter is an Introduction, mainly focusing on the purpose of research and its significance as well as its field and method and putting forth new prospective based upon the former research achievements.The second Chapter is about the definition and its character of broadcast news, which provides a better understanding on the techniques and methods in translating different styles of broadcast news by presenting and exploring different understandings to the news by the news theorists from past and present, at home and abroad along with its different types.Based upon this analysis, this paper suggests the character of broadcast news and its requirements to language, etc. Broadcast news style is short, swift and lively while its language is required to be fresh and lively, brief and lucid, accurate, strong sense of appealing and objective.The third Chapter is the core of this paper, with presenting the character of vocabulary, morphology and syntax of broadcast news by analyzing its common problems, and with some experience by exploring some new regular patterns as well as some new ways of translation. Thereare three big categories for the common problems of broadcast news translation: in vocabulary, in auxiliary words and in syntax.As to the problems in vocabulary, it mainly embodies through the Chinese version of Chinese-character-words, abbreviations, addresses in international news, etc.To solve this kind of problems, we'd better use as many Korean fixed collocations as possible to replace Chinese-character-words. If there doesn't exist any fixed collocations, try to avoid translating them just according to their pronunciations; Try to translate completely if they are abbreviations; Try to conform to the situation of the country in terms of addresses in international news, and try to translate them according to their original pronunciations.As to the use of auxiliary words, this paper mainly discusses the differences on both modal particles (?), and advance a unique way of use of (?) in news style. That's to say, the subject of the news lead must be always followed by (?).The Subject of the main body and the grand subject of the subordinate clause is to be followed by (?).The most common problems are showed as the complicated sentence pattern of news lead, too many subordinate clauses, inappropriate word order etc. In order to tackle with these perplexities, try to separate the complex subordinate clauses into a few simple sentences for news style's briefness and lucidity; try to shorten the distance between the subject and the predicate for a clear re... |
