The journalism of sight and sound is the only truly form of journalism to come along. It is a mass medium. It has serious built-in limitation as well as advantage compare with print. Broadcast news operates in linear time, newspapers in lateral space. This means that a newspaper or magazine reader can be his own editor in a vital sense. He can glance over it and decide what to read, what to pass by. The TV viewer is a restless prisoner, oblige to sit thought what does not interest him to get to what may interest him. So as a video recorder, I have to take advantage of TV 's tools. I must learn to how to speak news to TV viewer. The training of news report is not only writing but also learn to describe. News narrative involves all-important decisions about what is "news" and who is "newsworthy".
