In The In The Mid 1990 Of The 20th Century Century Novel Form Of Time

From 1990s, the atmosphere of literature is no longer simple and pure; it's becoming complicated with the trend of verge. Concerned with the fate of novels, although novels are influenced by the trend of verge, they still present a colorful phase in 1990s and the plurality of the literary styles constructs bright and beautiful scenery. During these 10 years, novellas, which are especially attractive, even become the very important criteria to evaluate writers. However, compared with river novels and short stories, the study and theory about novellas are comparatively backward. The author of this article tries to study the features of the time forms appeared in the novellas in 1990s from the point view of the time form.This thesis is divided into 2 parts.In the first part, the styles characteristics including external and internal ones are discussed.The external characteristics include the length of the novel and the general appearance. The length of the novel is the most outstanding external feature. It was not so scientific to distinguish the novel forms by the length as words are only the symbol of language. Whether a novel can be called a novella depends on its general appearance not the words or length.The internal forms include the structure, the molding of the figures and the aesthetic features. The main structure forms of novellas include the subject novels, image novels and the emotion novels. Of all the novels, emotion novels are the most suitable ones for novellas. Novellas are quite different from the river novels in respect of the numbers of the figures and the revealing of the characteristics of the figures. The aesthetic features of novellas include the completion, the complexity, and the tolerance with the writer's quality.In the second part, the characteristics and time forms of the novellas in 1990s are discussed.Compared with novellas in the 1980s, the ones in 1990s have got some new changes, the first of all of which is the concealment of the writing skills. Second should be "original aesthetics" and "simple philosophy". Third is the revival of the story.
