There is a tradition of resentment and irony with the poem since Chinese antiquity. It formed from China ancient polity and culture, and reflected their literature thought. As the earliest poetry, the poetry of resentment and irony in the books of songs is the earliest poetry that reflects the tradition, therefore, it is the best material to study.This article analyses the basic concept, the study history, the bringing foundation, the main content, the art character from culture, society, polity, etc. The article contains six chapters. The chapter one defines the concept of the poetry of resentment and irony, and lists the titles. The concept is the poems that reflect polity and resent or satirize the polity and sovereign with discontent and indignation. The second chapter is the study history, summarizes the every stage character, points out the achievement and shortage. The third chapter studies the appearance reason from the view of patriarchal clan system and its culture. We consider that the patriarchal clan system and its culture is the deeper reason besides the polity on that time. The fourth chapter is on fatality, and polity. We consider that Zhou people's disappointment and blame reflect that the fatality falls into a decline, but doesn't negative. The Zhou people think the virtue connects the heaven and the people. The heaven, virtue and people are unified. The fifth chapter is the literature character, we study the content, sensibility, method of represent. The sixth chapter is the study of effect. We study the foundation of Chinese resentment and irony tradition in the Han Dynasty under the effect of the poetry of resentment and irony in the books of songs, and the evolvement process after the Han Dynasty.
