Ink Spirit Practice And Thinking

This paper's purpose lies in further approaching and analyzing the intension of Chinese ink painting spirit on the basis of the achievement attained during the author's study abroad period, and making an attempt to look after the artistic creation orientation of the next step.In this paper, the author talks of copying from the paintings of Chinese antique masters at first, and analyzes its artistic characteristics and theory foundation, especially in the paintings of DongYuan and GongXian. The wash painting spirit among them is experienced and assimilated. Secondly, starting with the sketch practice, the compact relation between sketch and Chinese ink painting spirit is analyzed in detail. The key point lies in finding out the essence of nature from the sketch, and extending nature to the unlimited extent. Free artistic treatment can be carried out in the psychological space. Among them learning how to display the unlimited extent is very important, and finding out the relativity with my own creation. And the new direction of the ink painting is studied. In addition the holding and expression to the ink painting are further discussed in the viewpoint of creating practice. At last, the ink painting's new developing direction is studied according to approaching the ink painting and thinking about the future of the ink painting spirit.In a word, this paper emphasizes to proceed with the artistic sketch and creating practice, and it is a beneficial attempt for the comprehension and holding of Chinese ink painting spirit.
