The problem of alliance, is virtually worth researching in historical field of Spring and Autumn Period. Then the thesis analyzes the characteristic and function of the alliance from various angles such as politics, economy, military, culture and diplomacy. At last, the paper mainly discusses the causes that the alliance became prospered in the Spring and Autumn Period and declined in Warring Period.
