Wang Shuo "troubleshooters" Novel Emotional Evolution

Both postemotion and postemotionalism have been first suggested by Professor Wang Yichuan, which means a new emotion-tide has been growing in the sphere of the literature and art around the country. On the base of Professor Wang's study ,this article has done a further and shallow try on some issues of postemotion through analyzing a writer's writings. This article elaborates on the emotional developing process on WangShuo's novels of playboy from emotionalism to posteomtionalism , analyses the reason resulting this change, and illuminates truth and kindness under postemotionalism. Thus the whole article discourses on the above, which consists of four sections.In Section One, I simply elaborate on the definition and the distinction about postmodernism and the strategic reason why postmodernism has been in China. About the latter, I talk about it in two aspects. One is the postmodern condition of Chinese literature,the other is the postmodern distinctiveness of Chinese literature. All of this is to build up a cultural surroundings of postmodernism in order to analyse the emotional development in WangShuo's novels.In Section Two, firstly I generally introduce the emotional members of Chinese theory in literature and art, and define the connotation of emotionalism and postemotionalism. Then,elaborate on the emotionaldeveloping process in WangShuo's novels of playboy step by step. The process is made up of three stages. There are the stage controlled by emotionalism, the split-point of emotionalism or the growing point of postemotionalism, and the stage controlled by postemotionalism.In Section Three, in the sphere of postmodernism, the article elaborates on the reason of emotional development of WangShuo's novels of playboy series in three aspects. One is about the loss of ideal, another is parody which laughs at everything, the last is the era full of commodities and writing psychology led by business.In Section Four, analyzing truth and kindness under postemotionalism. In this part, compared with truth and kindness under emotionalism, postemotion has been far away from truth and kindness. However, under the postmodern surroundings of culture, it has enriched the family of emotion.All in all, the article reveals the condition of postemotion in China's contemporary literature and art through exampling WangShuo's writings.
