Chinese people preferred philosophy to religion. Christianism played a small role in constructing Chinese new poem. In degree, Christianism was confined and excluded by Chinese society, culture, politics and economic. However, meaningfully, Christianism affected a few Chinese new poems for some similar traits between them. Some Chinese new poets, including Lijinfa and Mudan, who used abundant Christian language in their works, expressed their religious intent and purposes. Lijinfa was first poet whose peom expressed more clear the Christianity than other poets in 1920s. As a excellent poet in 1940s, Mudan put the most dominical expression in his productions. As a result, God and Bible in their context became important elements, which were not replaced by his parallels in other culture. At the same time, Chinese national cultural tradition still affected the new poets, who considered the region as method but principle, as esthetics but theology. In fact, it is difficult for a foreign tradition to make more essential effects than the native one.
