Ye Zhaoyan Novel Theory

A study of the relation between Christian spirituality and the 20th century Chinese literature is a way of studies of Chinese literature. If we focus on the object of missionaries, the kind of cultural studies can be readily solved . Therefore, taking description of images of missionaries in the 20th century Chinese fiction as background, the article highlights the significance of poisonous blossoms, with a systematic analysis of aesthetic features and developmental tendencies on the image of missionaries in the 20th century Chinese fiction. From the angle of images to observe the theme reveals in the following aspects. First, missionaries act a very complicated cultural role in the 20th century Chinese fiction .And then ,based on the image of missionaries in poisonous blossoms, the article points out that "Literature of the New Period" represents the pioneer into a new territory, namely tragic field. Last, through a comparative study on the image of missionaries between Chinese and western literature, exploring the limitations of artistic fabrication and characterization in Chinese literary writing.
