Modern Chinese And Modern Chinese Poetry Modern Problems

Concerning the main stream of Chinese poetry during the 20th century, this dissertation holds that there is deep interweavement between poetry and Modern Chinese. From the perspective of expression forms, except the existing Ancient Chinese poetry writing, Modern Chinese can be the most important expressing style for one hundred years of Chinese poetry. At the deeper level, it is the modernity experience of the poet that interweaves Modern Chinese with Modern Chinese Poetry completely and indivisibly. The modernity experience in the 20th century is quite different from that in any other eras.This kind of modern mental experience appears in the mulriply troublous modern society at the beginning of the 20th century. There are two reasons: One is that the old social system and ideology system in China suffered an unprecedented whole collapse; the other is that Chinese society was stricken severely by different cultures of the western societies.Thus this dissertation proposes that Modern Chinese and Modern Chinese Poetry are outcomes of the modern Chinese society, and that both of them possess modernity. Modern Chinese acts not only as the language tool for the poet to express modernity experience but also as a modern turn of language thoughts. Modern Chinese Poetry is the platform for the poet to represent modernity experience, and in return it also accelerates the modern pace of Modern Chinese itself and enriches the poet's sense of modern qualities in the modern society. In short, Modern Chinese and Modern Chinese Poetry come out in the purpose to express modernity experience, and at the same time they become one part in the formation and development of modernity experience.Therefore, this dissertation considers that aesthetic connotation of modernity of Modern Chinese Poetry is based on Modern Chinese and the poet's modernity experience of modern Chinese society. As a whole, modernity of Modern Chinese Poetry manifests as modern feeling, modern thought and modern language in the text of poetry.
