False Research, Pragmatic Presupposition

Presupposition which can be divided into two types as semantic presupposition and pragmatic presupposition is one of the central issues in pragmatics. Mutual knowledge and contextual adaptation which are two characters of pragmatics accepted by academic circles.This paper which is influenced by Levinson's view that every aspect of pragmatic structure could be organized on the basis of conversation focuses on the presupposition which is not of mutual knowledge and is defined as fictitious presupposition. The approaches of realizing and pragmatics function are discussed in this paper as well.From the point of view of creativity, this paper which tries to give a scientific definition of this concept explores its significant characters and the difference between the fictitious presupposition and other similar concepts. With the help of the ideal cognitive mode and psychological spatial theory of cognitive linguistics this paper shows the crux of the difference between the fictitious presupposition and common pragmatic presupposition. Moreover, this paper puts forwards that the standards of division of fictitious presupposition can be defined as four types: transgression of the principle of quantity, quality, relevance and mode on the basis of Grice's Co-operative Principle.In a word, this paper tries to set up the theoretical frame for fictitious presupposition which is totally different from the conventional presupposition. It would make the pragmatics theory perfect and be helpful to practical communication.
