Rong Cheng Shi is the longest text in shanghai bamboo silk slips volume 2, it record about the legends of ancient emperors. Many scholars have written articles to argue this text in various factors, since it was published in December, 2002. And when volume 3, 4, 5 of shanghai bamboo silk slips was published, arguments about Rong Cheng Shi declined gradually, therefore, it is proper to have a summary of these arguments now, and it is necessary.The thesis concerns main facts on research of Rong Cheng Shi. First of all, the developed connection of bamboo slips is given in the first section, on the basis of other scholars' arguments, meanwhile, some detail problems are discussed. The next section focus on contains of the text, include textual research, discussion on record about Emperor Shun, and debate on Nine-States. In the last section, the thesis canvasses sect and age problems of the text, and point out the text has a great significance to academic research of Xian-Qin period. In all sections, arguments of other scholars are introduced and analyzed, after that, the thesis come up to a developed conclusion.In the appendix, there is a catalogue of books and dissertations which concern on Rong Cheng Shi, for the convenience of other scholars.
