Arc Of Terrorist Risk: History, Present Situation And Prospects

In recent years, with the development of Extremist groups and the increase of violence conflicts in the global scope, it has formed fearful terrorism of arc region from the Middle East to central Asia to South Asia to Southeast Asia. In this region there are many different cultures including Islam Turkish (Persia) culture, the Eastern Orthodoxy culture, the Chinese Confucius culture, the Mongolian and Tibetan Buddhism culture and the Indian culture, which has formed the cultural friction and deterioration. On the other hand, its geographical position often attracts great power gambling and fighting here. After the cold war especially the 9·11 issue, great powers have carried on the positive intervention to this region, but "the selfish interest intervention" then contradictory causes further terrorism day after day.The current situation where terrorism is making its appearance more often in this region is relevant to the problems left over by history and the wrestle for realistic benefit. Terrorism frequency enhancement also relates to the different religious and ethnic conflicts. The contradictory complication due to the great power intervention also causes the terrorism rampant. The terrorism of this region impacts on the relations of the U.S.A., E.U. and Russia etc. It also impacts on the international society, the world economy and the local system.After the analyses of the terrorist events, the thesis gives some suggestions to cope with the terrorism. We should not only fight the terrorism, but also solve impoverished lives and the problems of unbalanced development in economy. The thesis also tries to argue that the struggle against terrorism should be participated by the great powers, some international communities like the United Nation and some regional organizations like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The last part of the thesis refers to the influence of the arc region for china and its future. In the end a conclusion is drawn that if we do antiterrorism reasonably, the arc region of terrorism certainly can be solved successfully.
