Dimitry Shostakovich is one of the most outstanding composers in the Soviet Union in the 20th century. His works almost covered all kinds of forms, and have profound influences. The two violin concertos he created were regarded as the classic of violin concerto of the 20th century by music fiel, among which the first violin concerto is worshipped deeply by musician.The article scoops out the characteristics and the differences and similarities on the structure of the two violin concertos , by systematic analysis and study. The adopted research method is induction and comparison. The present author tries to discover the differences and similarities between the two violin concertos and the classic violin concertos by analyzing and comparing the forms of them, structures of works, the topic materials and musical orchestra .This article is divided into four parts:The first part is the preface, depicting Dimitry Shostakovich's whole life, the style of musical creations and the forms of his works , in order to comprehend the characteristics of the two violin concertos and his musical technique of expression.The second part (chapter 1 of the article) is to present the total grain of the violin concerto development, the form and the structure characteristicses of the violin concerto in its whole development period,...
