Commonly educational performances are dependent on certain space and environment, shaped and influenced by geographical, economic, traditional and cultural characters of the region as well. Diversity, with varied forms, features education in different regions all through their history, as it does with regional education of fine art which has evolved by certain means of educational performances of fine art. Yet previous researches on educational history neglect its diversity and differences by focusing on simple depiction of one or two characteristic factors of that region.That's the reason why I seek to probe the key factors of educational development of fine art in Hu Nan province since 1979 in this papers. Through reviewing the Hu Nan based textbooks of fine art, I find it is clued to historic, geographic, economic and cultural characters and even humanity to unveil the major and decisive factors of that. Meanwhile I dedicate myself to suggesting a model of sustainable development of open regional education of fine art on basis of clarifying its advantages and weakness. With a view to enriching and extending the study on education of fine art, I hope my papers can provide a historical and theoretical experience for local educational institutions of fine art in developing and planning as it does in other regions.
