On Tujia Waving The Spread And Development Of The Dance Form

The study is focused on the art form of Baishou dance that originate from Tujia(people of Tujia nationality). On the basis of preceding research results and available reference, both the evolution of the origin, spread and development of the dance, and its relations with dance species, historical cultures of Tujia, religious faith and ethos have been discussed. The dance itself has been studied with aesthetic theory and dance movement analysis, and the cultural connotation of the dance has also been studied with ethnic and historical methods. This article is aimed to present the ancient and mysterious ethnical art form to all the people completely.This article consists of three parts of introduction, three chapters and conclusion. The objective, significance, adopted materials and methods of the study, as well as some related research results are summarized in the introduction. In chapter one, with preceding research results and available reference, the origin and conformation of Baishou dance was discussed in detail, and the Baishou dance image,style character was also analyzed here. In chapter two, the character and connotation of the art form rooting from the cultural implication was analyzed from Baishou dance. The contemporary development of the Baishou dance was explained in chapter three, which was divided into three sections. In the first section, modern dance conformation or original dance conformation was compared and the revolution was also summarized; In the second section, the reason of evolution during its spread was discussed by analyzing the area and form of the spread of Baishou dance. In the third section, with respect to folk activity and stage art, the contemporary development and its reasons has been discussed concluded, the trend of changes was discussed and some suggestions were also put forward. Finally the understanding and results in this article was summarized in conclusion.The new perspective of this article lies in the discussion of Tujia dance with research methods of dance. On one hand, the evolution of the origin, spread and development of the dance has been discussed. On the other hand, art form and cultural connotation embedded in the dance characteristics of Baishou dance has been studied. The evolution of Baishou dance of different period, the traits of changes and composition trend of contemporary folk and stage Baishou dance have also been included here. The study has developed the research perspective of Baishou dance, so as to fill up the research blank of Tujia from dance.
