Music is a special way to show emotion of human beings and reflects the most original demand of people.In long history of China,traditional music plays an important role in the cultural inheritance.Especially for minority community,culture is inherited by music from generations.With the development of economy and rural urbanization and changes of education,the minority music is standing in danger of extinction.It is important to inherit,develop and research the minority music,which is also the duty of music teaching staff.In Jan.1957,Tujia nationality was single nationality of 56 nationalities of China,which was approved by the State Council.Shuangfeng village is the important evidence of the fact and is called as "the first village of Tujia".The paper bases on the minority music of Tujia nationality of western Hunan and researches on the traditional meanings of the music.Combing with the minority music study with music education practicing survey,the paper tries to find a new way to inherit the minority music and study education and has innovation as better.The paper can be divided into three chapters.The first introduces the geographic situation,ecological environment,music cultural form,origin and development of Tujia music by Anthropology of Music.The second describes the music form and style characters of Shuangfeng village which has many materials to inherit.The third analyses the inheritance and development situation of the music and gives the strategies.In addition,the paper does teaching design to innovative course and gives beneficial ways to music teaching practicing of school by Music Curriculum Standard(2011 edition)of Ministry of Education.
