Folk Walking The Spirit Of A Long Trip

The present thesis attempts to quote "the folk " theory which proposed by Chen Sihe ,and overall compares the works of Chinese writer Zhang Chengzhi and his soviet counterpart Aitmatov in order to show how and why the early grassland theme of Zhang Chengzhi was influenced by Aitmatov at the beginning of Zhang Chengzhi Entering the Inner Mongolian prairie, however in the later days two writers all regard the religion as subject. By tracing the transformation in their writing career, the present thesis attempts to point out what they share in common is that they made their own spiritual choice as their response to modernization . This paper mainly consists of preamble, three chapters and conclusions in structure.The preamble outlines the creation process of Zhang Chengzhi ahd Aitmatov, and divides their works into two stages according to two writers'theme change ,on the basis of it this part explains the domestic research present situation and the question which must be solved.Chapter One explains how two writers form the folk standpoint in seeking cultural root respectively from Chinese and the former Soviet Union literature background. And further points out the reason the early works of he Zhang Chengzhi accepts the influence of Aitmatov , Later period Zhang Chengzhi dislike the works of Aitmatov.Chapter Two is to conduct the close reading the early works of the two writers, and discusses the same description of the comfortable prairie folk thus defining the existence of influence by Aitmatov in Zhang's early writings.Chapter Three carries on the analysis to two writers on behalf of the religion theme work to study the relation between their religious theme and the national consciousness and their common spiritual choice that they made when they faced social transformation.Finally, conclusion of the present thesis, overall analysis of their early and late works is made and attempts to illuminate it is significant of their writing way for Chinese contemporary literature and culture construction .
