Undergraduates are a special group of people concerned by all the society. Their stress and coping problems have been long paid attention to. Though there have been quite a few researches on the topic, studies specially focusing on their employment stress and coping style are relatively limited. Undergradutes' employment problems involve profession-selecting mental problems and various behavior problems, while few existing researches concentrate only on employment stress and coping problems. This research is based on such a standpoint and hopes to be possibly deepened. Firstly, the developmet of theories on stress and coping problems will be reorganized systematically, and the current situation of stress and coping problem will be sorted; thus, problems on undergraduates' employment which are worth furthering can be found. I really hope it can provide favorable poroofs and suffestion for university employment counselling work.Secondly, on the bases of refeiring to documents and open questionnaires, after discussion with experts, teachers in Shanghai Career Guidance Center for Graduates, as well as some postgraduates, a self-made university employment stressor predicting scale came into being. Students from six colleges and universites in Shanghai took a pretest. The results were dealt with factor analysis; after deletion, 20 items of the original 32 were reserved. Then by mesns of principle factor analysis, items on personal employment stressor, family employment stressor and social employment stressor were identified. After reliability and validity test analysis, the homogeneity reliability, content validity and construct validity of this self-made scale are proved valid, the reliability and validity of it are both good.Finally, on the basis of the self-made undergraduates employment stressor scale and some existing overseas scales selected by XiaoJihua and other people in 1996, the coping style questionnaire(Edition Ⅲ), made accouding to Chinese cultural customs and behavior traits, was carried out in six Shanghai colleges and universities.
