Works on LuYou's 《The Travel to Szechwan》 is a famous prose on Song Dynasty. Post generations focus on mainly achievement about reference of local history and geography. For example, the volume of 《Complement Book of SHIKU Quanshu》 comment it as: "LuYou was good at essays, so his recount on historical scenery and natural landscape was rather graceful and accurate. Especially onarchaeology and historical relics. ……there was difference from the other authorson descriptions on scenery and details." It is true that ((The Travel to Szechwan)) reached a high accomplishment on research of history and geography. Besides the items 15 and 16 was pointed out in 《Complement Book of SHIKU Quanshu》 ,there were also paragraphs of some academics was regarded as accuracy.Besides, places around Taihu and middle Szechwan were most developed regions in economic and culture. Since LuYou entered Szechwan from Jiangnan area , from his works, folklore about the South Song dynasty was very important. The city economy of the South Song dynasty has developed greatly, now there were many writings from the South Song dynasty about it. For example the works as 《Truth collections of the South Song dynasty》, 《Anecdote in Hangzhou》, 《The Prosperity of Kaifeng》 and so on. The scholars of the South Song dynasty has many poems referred to it. But the writings on reflection of folklore of country > villages and towns were rather fewer.LuYou entered Szechwan from NanJin, sail on the Yangtse Rive, along the riverbank there were many rural towns. Therefore in his writings, reflect on steerers, rural mourning, raiment, accent, culture and something about country cultivations which make up for the shortage of history references, therefore there were much value of folklore research.
