This paper can be divided into two parts: the first one is trying to rectifying Pan Yuliang's birthday, name and date of her Shanghai Fine Art School enrollment, which have been remaining false for decades; The second one analyzes Pan's painting characters in her early, middle and later period, trying to find relations between the times she lived, her life experience and her painting career as well as track of the form, evolution and shape of her painting character.
