In the long history of photography, woman photographers have composed thousands of beautiful music with their outstanding wisdom and courage. They have consciously felt the living states of themselves and tried to identify themselves. They stepped into the whole culture of human beings and write their own history with their photos.For a long history, the history of photography has ignored the importance of woman photographers. Photography history has showed no just appraisal of the women photographer's contributions. With the new trend of feminism thoughts popular in the 1960s, many woman photographers have the opportunity to reappraise themselves. Woman photographers of new generation have corrected this injustice with their own creation of photographs.Photographers favor self-images in the long history of photography. With the uprising of feminism movement, self-photography become weapon to fight with male and put emphasize of them, pay more attention to them. They have explored the essential of female by way of self-photography to establish fame for ladies. The so called female self-photography is way of women taking photos on their gender experience, imagination and desire to create art works.This paper analyzes the trend of woman self-images through the study of the history of woman self-images.
