Chinese Modern Native Novels, led by Lu Xun in 1920s, explored by many native authors in 1930s, came to a more open and mature stage, with a colorful and gorgeous view. The article presents that Historical Consciousness is one of the aspects that deserves serious attention because it reflects the common characteristic of authors' creation and links the themes of Native Novel creation. This exceeds native novels in 1920s and 1930s and is the benchmark of the maturity of Chinese Modern Native Novels.The article is focused on integration and studies of the Native Novels in 1940s from the aspect of historical consciousness. Assuming historical consciousness as an exceeding aesthetic principle with unlimited meaning, a creation method with truly historical concept that presents spirit of times and historical sense and a re-confirming and re-constructing thinking methodology, the article explains and analyzes the content, characteristic, expression, practice, forming reason of historical consciousness of native novels in 1940s and concludes that in the unique historical conditions of the war, native novels in 1940s constitutes vivid description and imaginative artistic expression, presents a process that reflects past time and current days and probes future, expresses the vicissitude of native people and life and shows solemn and massive spiritual power with the historical expression by a cultural symbol of "village" , the presence of emotional concerns and colorful displaying, the cultural view of historical entirety, the reflection and criticizing to re-construction of history probing, and the realistic creation strategy.The article probes the unique characteristic of native novels in 1940s and reveals the historical literate significance of native novels in 1940s by contrasting with native novels in 1920s and 1930s. The article concludes that the expression and practice of historical sense makes a eternal artistic shining, one the most charming art pieces of Chinese Literature in 1940s.
