Haiyan Drama Exploration

Yan Hai, as one of the most well-known inland playwriter, has ever created a number of TV series , "Plainclothes policeman " , "One thing of effete and sentimental writings in general " , "Never die in peace" , " Jade Goddess of Mercy " , "How to save you , my lover" etc., which caused television rating upsurge , and produced sensational effect. He has also easily made unknown rookies such as Jinglei Xu, Yi Lu, Li Sun, Dawei Tong, Ye Liu, Na Yu, etc., super young idols! Then, Yan Hai' s TV series became the famous TV series brand naturally, and even become a peculiar cultural landscape of inland TV circle!However, the current study to the Yan Hai' s TV series is few and mostly confined to simple press interviews or the occasional reference in some scholars monographs. Therefore, there are many unexplored areas still exist.This thesis, based on the relevant theroies of text analyse, feminist film criticism, and genre, taking seven of Yan Hai' s TV series broadcasted before 2005 (including this year ) as research objects, attempts to analyze the theme of Yan Hai' s TV series from three major aspects : beautiful love under the predicament of life and death, and sin and punishment of human nature depths, and carrying on moral enlighten, to prove Yan Hai' s TV serials are not "police + love" only. Besides, this thesis seek the attractions of Yan Hai' s TV series by double male/female point of view adopted in series and consumption elements hided in them. Meanwhile, this thesis also tries to find the existing problems and its commercial meaning of Yan Hai's TV series by dialectical thinking in order to give Yan Hai's TV series a just and sound appraisal , and at the same time can bring some enligh.enment slightly to the creation of domestic TV series too.
