In the study field of Pragmatics, Adaptation theory of Jef.Verschueren and Tact theory of scholars such as Wang Xijie.ect have already become the hot Pragmatics theories to study .So far, the tow kinds of theories are extensively approved and accepted .The author believes , it is entirely necessary that the tow kinds of theories are carried on the comparison in order to exploit the abundant value that they commonly possess .So , In the dissertation , the two kinds of Chinese and West Pragmatics theories are put on the pragmatic flat to be carried on the overall and systematic comparison and analysis .Applying the research techniques of contrast analysis and example explanation , Adaptation theory and Tact theory are carried on the similar and different comparison separately from the following aspects. Firstly. The contrast of their constructed basic point and their some interrelated concepts. It is the basic inquiry into their nature. Secondly. The contrast of their three study tasks—context, subjectivity, meaning .The three important tasks are viewed the consistent and significant study method that can analyze the language phenomenon. Thirdly. The contrast of their comprehensive perspective—the contextual factor, the pragmatic factor. It is the positive view that their comprehensive perspective have the function of comprehensive explanation for language phenomenon .By way of the comparison and the analysis, the author makes every effort to inquire about the abundant pragmatic value that the two kinds of Pragmatics theories commonly possess. Accordingly, It is true that the two kinds of Pragmatics theories can strongly explain the language phenomenon and guide the language intercourse in reality. As a result, it is a safe conclusion that Adaptation theory and Tact theory are viewed as the relatively mature , perfect and scientific Pragmatics theories in contrast to the previous Pragmatic plate theories.
