Compared Biographies of Confucians of the History of Western Han Dynasty to that of the History of Eastern Han Dynasty, it impresses readers strongly that the two biographies are narrated in different systems that Confucians impart knowledge to their disciples. In detail, the Biographies of Confucians in the Western Han Dynasty has a clear and definite narrative order by stressing Shi Fa and Jia Fa. However the latter has a duplicate narration of Confucians' study because of the faintness of Jia Fa and Shi Fa. Due to this, only some excellent Confucians are recorded in the biography, which makes it more difficult for later scholars to study. Therefore it is necessary to make it as clear and logical as the former Biography. And that is the main idea of this dissertation. Although the narration of the latter biography shows the fusion of schools of Jinwen Classics and Guwen Classics, academic impartation is not eliminated at all. The two biographies differ in many aspects, such as the impact on style of Shi Fa and Jia Fa by the rising of Guwen Classics and the dispute between it and Jinwen Classics, the simplicity of Zhang Ju and the faintness of Shi Fa, the Confucians' learning Wu Jing from different scholars and so on. It will be convenient to understand the disciples of Classics Study in the Eastern Han Dynasty if its biography is complemented after investigations to it. The dissertation is composed of three chapters. The first chapter provides the different characteristics of Classics' imparting of the two biographies. The second briefly presentation of famous scholars' achievements, most of which are in Qing Dynasty. The last displays complement to the Biographies of Confucians of the History of Eastern Han Dynasty in the order of the Changes, Shang Shu, the Poetry, the Rites, the Spring and Autumn.
