As one of Chinese earliest literature, Jinwen Shangshu systematically reflects the style and features of the language in Shang Dynasty and Zhou Dynasty, and it plays the vital role to link the preceding with the following, which cannot be substituted. The research on consanguineous words is an important content of Chinese etymology research. The discussion on word origin inevitably involves the relations of word pronunciation and meaning and the word constitution motivation, and so on. To a certain sense, this is also the fundamental theoretical question in linguistics. Scholars before all valued research on consanguineous words, however, to make a comprehensive survey of existing studies on Chinese consanguineous words, special studies on consanguineous words are comparatively desolate. The related theses mostly concentrate on Sino-Tibetan comparison research, the academic circles have not yet thoroughly researched on Chinese interior consanguineous words, and we cannot see systematic research on consanguineous words in the special book, either. The author, comparing similarities and differences, dividing boundaries, determining the strict condition, advances an exhaustive study on consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu, describes pronunciation and meaning relations of consanguineous words, discusses the formation mechanism of consanguineous words, thus promulgates the rules of evolution of Chinese vocabulary. The thesis divides into three chapters. The first chapter is"Pronunciation characteristics of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu". It classifies 110 groups of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu from the pronunciation angle, discusses pronunciation characteristics of consanguineous words, and summarizes relations of Chinese word formation evolution and Chinese consanguinity word development. Pronunciation relations of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu may summarize in three kinds of types: Overlapping, the intersection, the meeting and parting. There are close pronunciation relations among consanguineous words. Oracle-bone Scripture and the Bronze Inscription, limited by the literary style, the written material, the culture level of development and so on, have not yet appeared consanguineous words in certain scale. In Jinwen Shangshu consanguineous words not only appear massively and systematically, but also become the high frequency words in later literature. Obviously, the time of Jinwen Shangshu is the key time of the development of Chinese consanguinity words. The second chapter is"Semantic relations of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu". It exhaustively analyzes semantic relations of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu from the semantic angle. There are not only notional consanguineous words, but also massive function consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu. The semantic relations of notional consanguineous words are the same or different, the differences mainly display in two aspects: the vocabulary significance and the grammatical meaning. Some consanguineous words have the same grammatical meaning and different vocabulary significance; some consanguineous words have almost the same vocabulary significance and grammatical meaning, which often displayed in the same explanation or mutual explanation in the ancient explanation works. The vocabulary significance of function consanguineous words is void, while the grammatical meaning is interlinked. The third chapter is"The formation mechanism of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu". It advances the formation mechanism of consanguineous words from the words economical principle angle and the psychological angle, then to elaborate the motivation between the form and meaning in Chinese language. The pronunciation of consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu is always close or interlinked, which displays the most economical principle of pronunciation transformation. The similarity of consanguineous words of Jinwen Shangshu in the written form is another important performance of economical principle. The formation of consanguineous words also has an inseparable relation with association, which mainly associates massive consanguineous words in two ways: similar association and relational association. The developed system of consanguineous words in Chinese language is an important part of studies on motivation of Chinese language. There are massive consanguineous words in Jinwen Shangshu, this has reflected that Chinese language is a language with certain motivation.
