Cloisonne is also called "copper padding thread enamel" , which is one of the famous traditional craft arts in Beijing. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Cloisonne had got a great deal of achievement in art field. In the development itself, Cloisonne which is remarked as one of the famous royal court craftworks, had contributed to artist, economy of Beijing.At Late Qing Dynasty, China laied in a confusion stage, and in which station, Cloisonne was also changed by the confusion society background. During this period, how Cloisonne is moved from the Palace to the folk? How Cloisonne lives and develops in the folk? Now there is a blank in researching these questions, but such is highly needed in the development history of Cloisonne. So these are which the writer is cared of. At the same time, this paper is also valuable to the researching neoteric history of Beijing craft arts.The success and failure of one kind of craft arts can be in two points of view: firstly, technology of facture; secondly, the development of scale. In all, people have developed the facture technology of Cloisonne, which is in good side. But the scale of Cloisonne is different in every age, which should be demonstrative, and valuable for researching. This paper can be divided in three parts:Firstly: Discussing Cloisonne's development and manufacture selling station. In the first place, this paper has clean up the development of Cloisonne from 1900 to 1949, in Beijing. Then based on the structure of the society and manufacture selling station of Cloisonne, discussing it in three parts: government, folk, and foreign.Secondly: Discussing the reasons of Cloisonne's success and failure. This part is try to resolve "why success and failure". This part can be divided into inner and outer reason. Besides, outer reason do much more huge influence in Cloisonne than that of inner reason.Thirdly: Discussing neoteric Cloisonne's artist characteristic and its influence. In this part, this paper focuses on the art visage of Cloisonne, and its influence in the society of neoteric.
