"The press on the war status (PWS)", which were commented during the time of the War of the Chinese Resistance Against Japan (1937-1945), were the main contents of this history that had significant values for Chinese history. However, at present, a few studies on this topic are present and reported. Therefore, in my present study, I conduct the preliminary collection and analysis on these materials.Four chapters are arranged as following to give the fundamental evaluation and description on "PWS". In the first chapter, the concept and meaning of PWS were defined and the content of PWS was sorted. The second chapter is the key section of this study. The PWS were analyzed from the point of politics, economics, military affairs, diplomatist, and cultures in this war time. The results showed that PWS played important roles in enhancing centripetal force and cohesiveness of our nation, developing economics, uncovering wildness of Japanese invaders, improving the collaboration among ally, and stimulating ethos of Chinese public. In the third chapter, the specialties and limitations of PWS were reviewed and the different characters and problems with PWS were demonstrated either. In the last chapter, from the point of view of history, this paper concluded that the PWS as a newsletter of the war had a plenty of annual references with significant values for history; from the point of view of current values, the research on PWS would remind people to fix the history, to cherish peace, to consider the defect and lesson during this catastrophe so that we can be wary of Fascism and militarism and pray peace between two countries generation and generations.
