The Analysis Of Improving China’s Situation Of Decent Labor Based On The Karl Marx’s Labor Time Limitation Theory

Karl Marx put forward the Surplus Value Theory and Labor Time Limitation Theory by criticizing the exploitation of capitalism on workers. The criticism on labor’s indecent work under the capital logic together with labor’s conscientious work in the future society with beyond the capital logic were considered as the corn content of Labor Time Limitation Theory. In his opinion, the minimum threshold and the maximum threshold were existed in labor time. More specifically, the minimum threshold referred to the necessary laboratory time for surviving, whereas, the maximum threshold referred to people’s body and ethical thresholds under the premises within a natural day. Furthermore, Labor Time Limitation Theory and the appeal on decent work were the fusion of scientific spirit and value criticism. On one hand, it revealed the scientific dimension from the aspect of the critique of political economy in term of capitalism. On the other hand, with purpose of reflecting rich humanism spirit, it put a great effort to criticize the inhumanity in capital logic, emphasize the importance of decent work to labors, and appeal to protect labors’freedom and right.Generally speaking, decent work was considered as the practice form for Marx’s labor ethics.With premises about getting equal payment for equal work and receiving no discrimination, it required a labor safety which demanded having personal dignity, being impartial, achieving self-made and taking guarantee. Moreover, it also demanded labors to work with fair and dignity which was out of their own vital interest. In a word, it was regarded as the basic requirement for people-oriented, and the important symbol of the advance of human civilizations. Therefore, it was full of great social significance, cultural values and ethical values. In general, Labor Time Limitation Theory had significant implications on realizing the real sense of labors’ decent work. In return, decent work was viewed as the realistic basis and crucial support for examining this theory. Besides that, Labor Time Limitation Theory provided theoretical premises to achieve decent work, meanwhile, it worked as a strong realistic guidance. Therefore, taking advantage of this theory had a profound historical inevitability for rethinking the labor conditions at the current stage in China. To sum up, it not only brought a further study on Labor Time Limitation Theory, but also conducted us to find realistic path about practicing decent work.
