Our National Common Language

During last fifty years, the current language in China - the popularization of mandarin, which is one of important components of social language activity, has made a great progress. At the same time, it had to face a series of problems. During the last century, the factors which brought the current language change not only decreased, but also trended to increase in some way, such as, the conflicts in Chinese - the dialect difference, and the social complex about mother tongue during the change of language from the dialect to the mandarin. With the social development, the conflict between the more serious policies and methods of mandarin popularization and the realistic situation and the impact of globalization and the information society upon national current language, the popularization and development of mandarin has to face a lot of conflicts and challenges.The attention of this thesis is put on the review of the mandarin popularization history and the realistic, which is composed of five parts. 1) The modulation of the general policies for the popularization of mandarin and its evolvement is systematically analyzed. 2) The national institutions for the popularization of mandarin are evolved. 3) The policies development of the popularization of mandarin - its history and realistic is analyzed in the four fields, schools, governments, news media of broadcast and TV, and public service vocations. 4) The evolvement of practical methods and administration for the popularization of mandarin is reviewed, such as the realization of three methods, the quantitative evaluation of the goal administration in cities, the test of mandarin comprehension - and the propaganda week of the popularization of mandarin. 5) The development of the popularization of mandarin in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan - its history and realistic is analyzed and reviewed.Based on the analysis as above, a systematical consideration for the popularization of mandarin is proposed as the following. 1) The elucidation of mandarin conception develops and deepens with social development. The popularization of mandarin is the important factor to strengthen the national solidarity, which makes effects in the realization of investment gain. It is a main way to realize the communication between human being and computer in the present information society and shows the respects to different culture.
