To explore the employees' working responsibility structure and its character, 870 objects from Nanjing city and Shanghai city were surveyed by the "Employees' Working Responsibility Questionnaire". The results indicate:1. By the EFA and CFA, we obtain six factors: planning, taking the responsibility, helping the workmates, cooperation, self-discipline and social morality.2. According to the employees' working responsibility characters, the scores of the staff are above the middle level, which is normal. But minority has a low score.There are not significant differences in age, degree, sex and major except the working years and the property of the company. In the study of the working years, an obvious phenomena is found, that is, when the working years is over ten years, the score on the working responsibility will increase evidently. The employees in foreign capital companies have a higher score, compared with those in state companies and in private companies which get the lowest score.3. On the basis of related theories, taking the staff as the object, the author made up the questionnaire, which shows not only a good alpha and split half reliability, but also a good content validity and structure validity. The employees' working responsibility questionnaire can be a useful metrical tool.
