Reform now taking place in the field of preliminary music teaching program has benefited Chinese music teachers with new outlook.As a result, recently revised Chinese Music Education Guideline set it as its main objectives to develop student-oriented music education program, to facilitate students' learning of Chinese music, to spread Chinese culture, and to cultivate international outlook stressing equality and respect to foreign culture. Inspired by this new way of thinking, the emphasis of this study lies in Chinese music program resource. Great consideration is given to the continuation of Chinese national music by adopting a new approach to this issue. The research demonstrated that there exists a lack of concern with the Chinese music program resource among Chinese music teachers. Therefore, Chinese music program resource, based on traditional Chinese culture, needs further research.The research consists of four chapters:The paper begins with a comprehensive literature review, covering several aspects, including choosing the topic, defining the concept, explaining the significance of developing Chinese music program resource.The second chapter lays its emphasis on the theoretical background of Chinese music program resource, investigating the issue from anthropological, sociological, philosophical, ecological, educational perspectives.With the theoretical background shedding light on this issue, the research carried out in the third chapter are mainly concerned with solutions to the problem. Several strategies are put forward, including increasing teachers' awareness, broadening scope, and standardizing operational process.As a result of the research, the last chapter states several suggestions, including sticking to principles, devising developing process, managing products, improving evaluation mechanism and training qualified music teachers.
