This thesis focuses on researching Professor Li Zehou's new thought published in 1999, which Professor Li believed that "Shamanism rationalized" is the key of Chinese culture. In Western countries, the "Shamanism" was developed into religion and science. However, it was changed into "Shamanism rationalized" in China. That is a valuable theory for reevaluating Chinese culture, because "Shamanism rationalized" explains the nature of Chinese culture with a unique perspective. Li Zehou's theory tells us that the reason why the science and religion is popular in Western history while there is no national religion in China but Chinese people have a stabile and the longest history in the world. Apart from that Li's theory gives us an appropriate explanation for Chinese family with holy meanings. This is the main content of Chapter 1.Obviously, there are some expressions need to be improved and enriched. In Chapter 2, "shaman with the king's role", in my opinion, is the common phenomenon of all kinds of human beings culture but not the unique fact happened in ancient China. In the third chapter, I hold view that the ancient Greek rational tradition and the spirit of deploitation leads to the Western science and religion. In ancient China, however, there are five tangible proofs cause China having the tradition of manism which is the key characteristic of "Shamanism rationalized". Agriculture, is the first reason which decide and form the nature of Chinese culture with dependent on the old whom have much experiences apropos of agricultural production; "jue di tian tong", a famous religion reform in Chinese history which most historians not sure yet the exact time, but that reform gave the ancient Chinese no chance to adore or believe God but there own ancestors only; The kings of Shang Dynasty exclaimed that their ancestors are the God actually, which made the following dynasty Zhou never worshiped the God again but their ancestors only, then there was no Godto worship for common people from then on; In addition, there is a unique phenomenon in China's history is lacking of myths, so we don't have the condition to form our tradition of religion. However, manism becomes the main phenomenon of Chinese tradition. That's the main content of Chapter 4.To sum up, this thesis tries to analyze the reasons of human beings' common phenomenon of shamanism culture, why there is a tradition of science and religion in the Western culture and the main characteristic of "Shamanism rationalizing" in China.
