Nippon Eidaigura was completed in Jan. 1688 and it was the representative works of Japanese merchants written by Ihara Saikaku. The book was divided into six chapters consisting of thirty essays. According to each description of Japanese merchants' life in this book, it depicts the close relationship between those merchants and money, and pointed out the correct way of getting rich. In Japan, there are so many studies about Ihara Saikaku and his works, while in China so far there are few about him. And there are little Chinese version of Nippon Eidaigura. This essay chose the book, RiBenZhiFuBaoJian written by Tao Sun, Qian (published by People's Culture Press in 1987)as Chinese version. As for the explanations of two concepts "The way of Heaven" and "five", it cannot arrive at an agreeable opinion when compared with Chinese version and the original version. And those doubtful points should be paid more attention to study.Based on the original works, study some materials finished ahead in Chinese and Japanese version and find the question point. Centered on "The way of Heaven" and "five", this essay focuses on the communication with Chinese and Japanese culture, and does some textual researches to explain the main theme of Nippon Eidaigura that how the Japanese merchants mastered the key point of getting rich which was given by Ihara Saikaku who was deeply influenced by Chinese culture. After some concrete analysis, the conclusions are as followed:First, in the concept of "The way of Heaven", "Heaven" means God which is influenced by Chinese traditional culture, and the conception hold by Japanese scholars is the response to the society then. And "The way of Heaven……" comes from GuWenZhenBaoHouJi. Secondly, "five" spoken by Ihara Saikaku has similarities with "five blessings" in Chinese traditional works Book of History, HongFan. From those two conceptions, this essay points out the typical Japanese personality and the characteristic influenced by Chinese classicality.Nippon Eidaigura is the motto of Japanese merchants and depicts the characteristics of that times in which Japanese merchants flourished in the Jyokyo Genroku ages. From the angle of culture communication, Ihara Saikaku produced this works under the influence of Chinese classicality. And here is just the innovation of this essay. It can be regarded as some references for forward study.
