| In this thesis, the author will make efforts to find out the relationship between Stanislavsky's System and the Method, in which the Method is the continuator of Stanislavsky's system, but has developed to a further extent on the base of it. Through comparing with these two theory systems, the self-comments of some main original members of the Method, and analyzing the practice of the Method actors, the author is going to explain how the Method developed on the base of Stanislavsky's system. Whilst, through analysis of the new creative concepts and techniques in the training of the Method acting, the author will focus on two items,"free will","affective memory", in order to clarify that the Method had achieved success in developing Stanislavsky's system, and hope that this article could provide actors and acting teachers with some helpful suggestions and advises. |
