The Number Of "long Agama" Structure Is Investigated

Because the special book grammar research is the foundation of Chinese grammar history study and the numeral structure and the classifier structure is one of characteristics of Chinese. If we want to establish scientific Chinese numeral and classifier structure, we must do research on the numeral and classifier structure of the special book. This thesis study Long Agama Buddhist Scripture at the period of Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties. In it, the static description bonding with the dynamic analysis, the quantitative statistics unifying with the qualitative analysis and the contemporary description referring to the comparison are applied to investigate the numeral and classifier structure. In front of the text has the introduction, latter has the conclusion, and the main text compose of three parts:First, the numeral expression form carries on the inspection from seven aspects: the cardinal number expression form, the ordinal number form expression form, the divisor number expression form, the imaginary number expression form, the questionary number expression form, the multiple number expression form and the fractional number expression form.Second, the system of the classifier. The classifier is divided into three kinds: noun classifier, verb classifier and standard-classifier. The noun classifier comprise the natural classifier and the artificial classifier when the natural classifier includes 15 kinds of individual classifier and 6 kinds of collective classifier. Also their source, course and application are elaborated briefly. Then is the verb classifier, how the behavior expressed by number usually takes numeral in front of the verb to make the adverbial clause. On the contrary, there is only one verb classifier Za. Next, the standard-classifier not only is the noun but also is the kind of the word which can express the classifier such as Nian, Sui,Yue,Ri,Ye,Shi,Zhou,Xiu,Ren. Their application situation are inspected separately. Third, the application of the classifier. In Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties when Long Agama Buddhist Scripture is in, the number is called without the classifier as often, but compared with antiquity, classifier had developed a lot from the quantity or the frequency of appearance .
