Analysis Of The Japanese Occupation Of Taiwan During The "imperial Civilization Movement"

During the period that Japan occupied Taiwan, the Japanese colonial government not only roughshod over Taiwan in politics and military, but also carried out ruthlessly culture aggression to Taiwan with the help of polices and troops, so as to get the heart of Taiwan's people under control and change Taiwan as their permanent territory. Kominka Movement was one of the most important parts of Japanese cultural aggression to Taiwan.The thesis will be based on the theory of Japanese colonial reign and the cultural aggression to Taiwan, through systematical introduction to the origin, the formation, the development and the main content of the Kominka Movement, this paper mainly discusses the cause of its formation, its character and influence, analysizes the hazard that was left by the Kominka Movement, uncovers the gimmickry that Japan government imbued Taiwan people with many kinds of "Japanese virtues" after World War 2. With this revealing the ugly face of Japanese colonist and confuting those expressions that distorts and glorifies Japanese invasion to Taiwan in history. Meanwhile, by contrasting the characters of the Kominka Movement and "the cultural Taiwan independence", this thesis uncovers the truth of "the cultural Taiwan independence". At the last part of the paper, the author makes an overall evaluation to the Kominka Movement and puts forward suggestions on our work of turning against the independence of Taiwan and strengthening the unity of China today, so as to promote the reunification of the motherland.The paper mainly divides into four parts:In the first part, it introduces the origin of Kominka Movement by defining the cultural aggression and Kominka Movement, explicating the history background of Kominka Movement.The second part is in the clue of the development of the Kominka Movement, it chiefly explicates its formation, development and main content.The third part mainly analysizes the cause of the Kominka Movement's formation from the historical and realistic angle, and on this basis, it summarizes the character and essence of it.In the forth part, it chiefly analysizes the influence and the failure causes of the Kominka Movement. Meanwhile, the author makes an overall reflection to this history.
