The attachment relationship between parent and child refers to those aspects of the relationship that serve to regulate the infant's stressful arousal or sense of felt security. The quality of regulation of fearful affect available in attachment relationships is fundamental to the developing child's freedom to turn attention away from issues of threat and security toward other developmental achievements, such as exploration, learning and play. Many factors influence the mother-infant attachment. One of the important factors is mother sensitivity. With the development of mother sensitivity, Pederson and his colleagues developed the Mother Behavior Q-set, describing the mother-infant interactive behavior more concretely. The current study first develops a book for intervention of mother sensitivity and mother-infant interactive behavior. And on the basis of the book, we conduct the clinical intervention. There are 16 mother-infant dyads attend our experiment. We visit mother-infant dyads at home. Then we choose 10 mother-infant dyads randomly to attend the intervention for two months, The aim of the intervention is to improve the mother sensitivity, and improve mother-infant interaction. The other 6 dyads are for control, with nothing to do. Three months after the intervention finished, we visit mother-infant dyads again at home. The result indicates that, the model of intervention can improve the mother sensitivity. Comparing with the control group, the intervention group enhanced mother's ability to receive infants' signals, understand and respond appropriately, and improved mother-infant interaction. Therefore, the clinical intervention for mother sensitivity and mother-infant interaction between 9 and 24 months is effective.
