Genghis Khan Spring Ceremony, Ritual Heritage Of Survey Research

The Genghis Khan Tomb in Yikezhao League, Erdos city, Yijinhuoluo County of Inner Mogolia is the only accredited place in the world to held sacrificial ritual to sacrifice Genghis Khan. Loyal tomb guard of Torghut has been guarding the tomb and worshipping Genghis Khan for almost 800 years. There are lots of ceremonies held every day, every year and four of them are specially important, especially Spring Grand Cerernony(CGSK). I had observed and research the Spring Grand Ceremony held in Yikezhao League, Eerduosi city, Yijinhuoluo County of Inner Mogolia in 2006.The ceremony lasts 8 days, including Garili Ceremony, Sudele Ceremony, Golden palace Ceremony, Evening Ceremony and etc. These ceremonies, which includes rituals, prays and songs, held different ceremonies at different sites. The Spring Grand Ceremony is a complete living cultural heritage, which represent the unique oral tradition and intangible cultural heritage of Mongolia.Genghis Khan ritual culture has been developing during the process of social changes. And the Spring Grand Ceremony is just one of the episodes. However, following the research conducted by scholars, we can consider its living activity as start to its further study. This article is trying to combine the research methods of fieldwork and reference to record the present situation of the cultural space of Genghis Khan Tomb and explain the interpretion of important cultural meaning presented during the ceremony. After China's liberation, the tomb has been fixed from moving situation, which led to the changes of ritual and its cultural space. Today, the tourism development and management of Genghis Khan ritual cultural space has made the potential crisis of changes in inheritance of ritual more and more obviously. With almost 800 years history, the precious value in this ancient ritual of mogalian emperor has been inspiring us to further study and promote its preservation and inheritance.
