The main function of the degree adverb is to decorate or measure the degree of character and action which is been expressed by adjective, noun, verb and verbal structure. Although the amount is small, the grammar is simple, each of them have strong individual character when they decorate other words. Foreign students still have more errors on degree adverb.This paper is guided by the theory of Inter-language and Error Analysis. This paper studies 294 degree adverb use cases in the inter-language error information corpus, and analyzes the missing, mis-adding, mis-order and misuse of adverbs in the view of grammar. The paper gives emphasize to 7 degree adverbs "很,更,太,最,比较,有点儿,多么" , which take 97.7% in all errors.Based on the research of degree adverb both in the field of modern Chinese language grammar and Teaching Chinese as a second language, the paper examines the use of 36 degree adverb listed by teaching outline in the inter-language corpus and native materials. It shows that foreign students takes more errors on "hen, tai, geng, zui, bijiao, youdianer, duome" than the native, not like the other 29 degree adverb. Then, the paper individually studies the decorate function of the 7 degree adverb in the senior, middle and junior degree, and compares the acquisition with the native's. And the conclusion shows that the acquisition level of the 7 degree adverb, which is high frequency used, is higher than the others. That is, high frequency adverb's decorate function is more complicated than the low frequency ones'. It also finds that the foreign students like to use degree adverb to decorate adjective and psycology verb more than the native, but to verb structure is opposite. And the foreign students use these degree adverbs in a simple way. About 5% of the decorate function is not acquired by foreign students. And then put forward the suggestion of difficulty grade.At last the paper reviews the grammatical settings about the degree adverb in teaching outline, the HSK outline and teaching materials.
