The new note fiction is a type of fiction which emerged in the early 1980s, lasting to the late 1990s. Instead of the tendency of grand narration and distinct political pleading which embody in the contemporary fiction, the new note fiction aims at the unique beauty rooted in the bottom of human nature. What's more, the new note fiction refers to the traditional writing and esthetic resources of the Chinese ancient note automatically, assimilating and extending to the scope of contemporary fictional art, and therefore, its own unique artistic style and characteristics come into being. The production and esthetics of new note fiction make good use of the traditional literary and esthetic resources. On the production of fiction, the paper mainly focuses on the relationship between "history" and "poem", and according to this discusses the new note fiction systematic reference and reconstruction of the Chinese ancient note, in the forming of the text. With regard to the esthetics of the fiction, the paper stresses on the influences and regulations which result from the changes of novel writing and transmission means on the production of esthetic meanings of text. Through the inspection of the two transformations, the paper further studies the reasons which make the new note fiction better than the Chinese ancient note. The new note fiction is not an insular literary phenomenon. To some extent, it plays representative role in the transformations from the traditional note to the contemporary note fiction. Take new note fiction for example, the Chinese ancient note, entering into the era of new note fiction, means the modern artistic reconstruction guided by the modern new note fiction writers automatically. Correspondingly, the national style of new note fiction is not reproduced from the replication of the traditional note, but the uplift of its modern artistic transformations.
