Huanggang Folk Songs Of Nonsense Syllables Lining Cavity Analysis

Huanggang folk songs embody a rich variety of lining words and tunes, which greatly enrich their expressiveness by the abundant connotation and striking local color contained in them. This thesis makes a thorough investigation into the 700 folk songs collected in the Selections of the Chinese Folk Songs: Huanggang Volume. It compares and analyzes, through charts, varied styles of the Huanggang folk songs, namely, work songs, folk love songs, popular tunes, lantern songs, nursery rhymes, everyday life rhymes. Based on the comparison and analysis, it classifies the lining words and tunes included in them, summarizes their significance, and taps their cultural connotation. The purpose is to make a preliminary research into the artistic and local colors of Huanggang folk songs, which will play an active role in further researching, singing, inheriting and developing them.
