Eastern Wei And Northern Qi Period Figurines

Based on the collection of Eastern Wei, Northern Qi Dynasty tombs which have explicit age material, we studied the district, classification and staging of those tombs using archaeological typologies methods. Combined with related research results we discussed the origins and effects of the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi period figures.According to the figures' type of more than 30 tombs, Eastern Wei, Northern Qi period figures are different in four different regions:1. Taking Ye as the central of the region around the capital, the figures are finest, structured forms and styles to show bone-like style, the combination of attention to grades.2. BingZhou state centered as, figures are made standard and have more varied forms. They also contained lots of Hu' style and the military figurines are the most.3. The figures unearthed in Ji, Ding, Cang and You states that centered in JingXian county are emphasized on the style of Han Etiquette system by the Northern Wei.4. In Zibo, figures are rough, but there are fewer types of the new tomb figurines emerging.The unearthed figures have some differences and also have much in common. The Common is the same figurines group. The particularity is the region around the capital region.
